Home Cinema: Action and Excitement in House of the Dragon, Greek Mythology on Netflix

Dragons, fires, betrayal and intrigue on the throne of King Viserys Targaryen. These were the main themes of the first episode of the series.”Dragon House“. The prequel to Game of Thrones (which we watch on Vodafone TV in Greece) focuses on the Targaryen house, where the mistakes of the older generation are repeated. The episode is complete in terms of structure, but what’s impressive is the aesthetic, with dark shots and impressive landscapes. The flow of events and the “stretched” narrative can keep even those who do not know the plot. Bonus: A Song of Ice and Fire that plays over the end credits and brings back memories for Game of Thrones fans.

Kaos on Netflix

Hollywood is once again inspired by Greek mythology. This time Netflix is preparing “Kaos”, a series written by Charlie Covell (“The End of the Fucking World”) about life, love and power in the Underworld. According to Deadline, it will be a modern take on the mythology and quite bold and dark. Jupiter will be played by Jeff Goldblum and Debbie Mazar will play Medusa. The production looks very ambitious, given the actors who previously worked on such popular projects as the Chernobyl series.
