On Wednesday, Ukraine celebrated Independence Day, and Zelensky warned in advance that Russia could carry out a tough attack.

“Four passenger cars are currently burning. So far, at least 15 people have died, and about 50 people have been injured,” Zelenskyi said.

“Rescuers are working. But, unfortunately, the number of dead may increase. This is how we live every day. This is how Russia prepared for this meeting of the UN Security Council,” Zelenskyy said in his message to the Council.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba also responded on Twitter, saying that “terrorist Russia continues to kill the peaceful Ukrainian population.” “Terrorist Russia must be stopped now before it kills more people in Ukraine and beyond.”

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported that an 11-year-old child died as a result of rocket fire in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The other day, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that he has information from Ukrainian special services and international partners that there is an increased threat these days, in the context of the celebration of Independence Day in Ukraine on August 24. The US has said it believes Russia will attack civilian and government infrastructure in the coming days.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine advised Ukrainians to be especially careful.
