His father faces prosecution for lethal exposure to at-risk minor 6-year-old girl who drowned at noon on Monday on the beach in Kalamaki Corinthia.
On Tuesday morning, the man was taken to the prosecutor and Corinthian investigator to apologize.
According to him, they bathed with his daughter, and he put on a life jacket for her, and he entered the sea.
However, suddenly the child lost his life jacket and sank to a depth of six meters. Her father claimed he couldn’t dive to get him out because he had asthma problems.
Instead, he chose to go ashore and call for help. Since he did not have a mobile phone, he even walked a few meters until he found someone who could help him.
Finally, a snorkeler spotted the six-year-old and pulled him unconscious out of the sea, and an ambulance with two rescuers rushed to the scene.
The little girl was taken to the Corinthian hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
