US Open organizers have announced the seeding list for the 2022 tournament, which debuts on August 29. Simona Halep will be the seventh favorite for the last Grand Slam of the year, and Romania will have three more representatives in the main draw and four in the qualifiers.

In the first round of qualification, Ana Bohdan (65 WTA, main favorite) will meet Anna-Lena Friedsam (Germany, 207 WTA), Iryna Bara (126 WTA) will play against American Kayla Day (211 WTA), Alexander Kadantsu-Ignatik (160 WTA) will meet again with Alicia Parks (USA, 150 WTA). Gabriela Lee-Talab (137 WTA) will play a match with Sarah Errani (117 WTA).
