The poorly-received film, released nearly a decade ago and starring Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges, is getting a sequel.
Released in 2013, it was called “RIPD”, with Reynolds and Bridges playing two dead cops tasked with hunting down strange ghosts in the afterlife.
The film (whose title was an acronym for “Rest in Peace Department”) was declared a box office flop when it was first released.
Reviews were generally poor, with RIPD receiving a low rating.
Viewers also condemned the film on social media, with some calling it “terrible” and “terrible”.
Now, according to the Independent newspaper, a continuation of the film is being prepared, but there is one detail: the main characters of the original will not participate in it.
According to IMDB, the film stars Richard Fleishman and Jake Choi.
No further details about the film’s plot and release have been released at this time, although IMDB claims that the film’s filming has been completed.
