A woman from Prahov died on Sunday afternoon after falling into a septic tank. Her husband tried to get her out of there, but also fell, he was saved by emergency crews called to the scene, reports news.ro.

According to ISU Prahova, the incident happened on Sunday in the city of Zamfira.

A 48-year-old woman fell into a septic tank, her husband, who also fell, tried to save her. The firefighters who arrived at the scene saved the 45-year-old man, but they could not save the woman.

When she was taken out of the pit, she had a cardiorespiratory arrest, and after performing resuscitation measures, the doctor at the scene was forced to declare her dead.

This is the second such incident on Sunday. In Yalomytsa, three workers fell into a manure collection channel in the premises of a livestock farm, two of them died as a result of the incident, the third was rescued.
