Who was Robert Williams?

Robert Williams was born in Athens on December 4, 1949. Since the early 1970s, he has been the guitarist and vocalist for the band Poll.

His first album was released in 1974 under the name “Robert Williams”. In 1976, he achieved great success with the song “Mila mou” from the album “Esy ki him”.

In 1977, together with Paschalis Arvanitidis, Bessie Argyraki and Marianna Tolis, she represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Mathima Solfez” with music by Giorgos Hatsinassios and lyrics by Sevis Tiliakou, which finished in fifth place.

He wrote the music and lyrics for several songs from the TV series The Shining by Nikos Foskolos, most notably the opening song “Mes si przeseksi mou”. The Shining album was released in 1992.
