The trade and consumption of drugs are phenomena related to entertainment, and the police are finding more and more users of psychoactive substances at festivals organized in Romania, writes PressHub. We asked the Romanian police to tell us the number of drug crimes detected this summer, and based on the response provided by the authorities, we ranked the festivals in terms of the presence of hallucinogenic substances.
Between June and August 2022, there were several national-level festivals with large audiences, namely SAGA, NEVERSEA, ELECTRIC CASTLE, UNTOLD and SUMMER WELL.
In the first place, according to the Romanian police, the UNTOLD festival, where 138 offenses were registered according to Law 143/2000 on the prevention and fight against drug trafficking and illegal consumption and 44 offenses regarding “Driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol”. psychoactive substances”.
The second place is taken by the “ELECTRIC CASTLE” festival, where 121 offenses were detected in accordance with Law 143/2000 on the prevention and fight against illegal drug trafficking and consumption and 68 offenses in accordance with Art. 336 clause 2 of the Criminal Code “Driving a vehicle while intoxicated.”
The SAGA festival is in third place by a very narrow margin from second, as 120 offenses were detected under Law 143/2000 on the prevention and fight against drug trafficking and illegal consumption.
Fourth, we have the NEVERSEA festival, where 73 offenses under Law 143/2000 on the prevention and fight against drug trafficking and illegal consumption and 30 offenses under Art. 336 clause 2 of the Criminal Code “Driving a vehicle while intoxicated.”
