
The platform opened today, Friday, August 19th. arogi.gov.gr for victims of fire Penteli in July last year, those wishing to receive first aid against housing assistance, with the issuance of the relevant joint ministerial decision.
The amount of assistance can be up to 14,000 euros and depends on the severity of the damage to property.
According to the statement of the competent Deputy Minister, in addition to the Prime Minister, Prime Minister Christos Triandopoulos, the platform will be open for applications until September 9, 2022.
First aid may be provided for residences, commercial buildings, and other non-commercial buildings.
The Prime Minister’s Deputy Minister responsible for Public Assistance and Disaster Recovery, Mr. Christos Trianthopoulos, said in a statement:
“The government, implementing the already announced measures to support the victims and repair the damage caused by the fire that started in Penteli and affected various areas of the Attica region in July last year, will activate the platform today. arogi.gov.gr to provide first aid for housing assistance to injured owners. In fact, assistance can reach up to 14,000 euros, depending on the extent of damage caused to each property.
Recall that the first aid measure was established last year by the current Government after major fires that engulfed various regions of our country, and since then has proved its key contribution to the timely support of victims of natural disasters.
So in this case, property owners affected by the fire in Penteli can submit a simple digital application to arogi.gov.gr until September 9 and receive important first aid immediately and without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures. The government continues to implement the plan to support and restore the region and, of course, can intervene with new measures when necessary.”
Administration process
Regarding the procedure for granting first aid – according to the same announcement – any affected owner can apply on the arogi.gov.gr platform and request first aid against housing assistance, for the property for which he is going to apply. for free housing assistance, in accordance with the provisions of the joint ministerial decision under item 254809/DAEFK-KE/A325/09.08.2022 (Government Gazette B΄ 4332/12.08.2022), to the competent Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The property must be inspected by the competent authorities of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and recognized as:
Unsafe for use (“RED”) according to the re-inspection sheet, or dangerously unusable according to the pre-hazard opening report, or completely damaged according to the completely damaged building opening report, or temporarily unusable (“YELLOW”) according to the re-examination protocol or the autopsy report.
At the time of application, properties located in the areas affected by the July 19 fire are pre-populated from the current property situation formed by the latest E9 application and in accordance with the specific provisions of the KYA. When submitting an application, it is necessary to attach the relevant bulletin or report or protocol of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
In the event that the application and case for housing assistance for the restoration of the damaged building are not submitted within the prescribed time limits, or the applicant is not recognized as eligible for free state assistance in housing assistance after consideration of the case by the competent department of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, then the entire amount of assistance is returned to the Greek state as overpaid.
