Femininity After Cancer is a program dedicated to women diagnosed with cancer in Romania who want to learn how to restore and heal their femininity. The program is owned by the Imunis Association and will reach its fourth edition in 2022.

Who can participate in the “Femininity after Cancer” program.

Women who have lost confidence in themselves, in their own body, in their life partner, lost their libido or a sign of femininity: breasts, hair, quality can participate in the program skin, nails, teeth, body elasticity, etc.

This year, 52 women enrolled in the program “Femininity after Cancer”.

“In the Imunis Association, a kind of magic happens, thanks to the unity, life after cancer is full of laughter, strength and new resources. When writing new ones, we play by the written rules, so we boldly go on this journey of cancer. Women who participate in the program take very important steps to reclaim their femininity after diagnosis. By focusing on them as women, they change their post-diagnosis path, they suddenly have a different path,” says Kosmina Grigore, president of the Imunis Association, who has survived breast cancer since 2013.

The program includes five theoretical modules and a series of offline and online meetings where women receive experiences designed to reconnect them with their femininity:

  • theoretical modules supported by Cosmina Grigore, specially designed for the transformation of mentality; discussion of the process of emotional healing after diagnosis, the foundations of femininity, processes of forgiveness, reintegration, self-confidence, etc.;
  • meetings with specialist doctors, discussion of side effects of drugs in the medium and long term and their management for a better lifestyle;
  • meetings with a physiotherapist, discussions and exercises on the treatment of lymphedema, correct posture, breathing, etc.;

  • a master class with a master florist aimed at helping women rediscover their femininity, delicacy, creativity;
  • climbing, designed to help women believe in themselves again, develop their courage, and also develop muscle mass;
  • meeting with a clothing stylist. Bandaging after cancer is a taboo subject among women who have had a mastectomy or who have developed lymphedema in the arms or legs. Adapting the style of clothing together with a stylist helps a lot to restore femininity and self-confidence;
  • meetings with a beauty expert aimed at helping women learn how to take care of their skin and complexion, especially after the negative effects of certain medications;
  • a meeting with a make-up artist designed to restore self-confidence to women. Some women completely lose their eyebrows or eyelashes during treatment;
  • a photo session designed to motivate them and give them a unique image, part of the process of rewriting their femininity;

  • dance sessions aimed at activating them and creating a context for meeting their femininity; with advantages both at the physical level (lymphatic system, muscles, tissue oxygenation) and at the mental and emotional level;
  • master class on public speaking, designed to restore women’s self-confidence and the way of communication;
  • meetings with a Mindfulness coach;
  • a photo session with women who have survived cancer; the heroines are dressed in designer dresses;
  • femininity retreat with talks and practical techniques.

“We believe that it is extremely important to restore the foundations of femininity for women diagnosed with cancer, both for the evolution of their treatment and for their long-term evolution, as well as how they manage to restore their lifestyle,” says Cosmina Grigore. President of the Immunis Association.

Advantages of the “Femininity after Cancer” program:

  • Patients learn to be strong again after a cancer diagnosis;
  • Change in the way women perceive themselves after the diagnosis: relations with the body, with themselves, with attributes of femininity, with a partner, with life;
  • Increasing adherence to treatment;
  • Increasing the chances of survival due to the generation of good emotions, oxytocin, due to the feeling of belonging to the community of female healers;
  • Improving the quality of life;
  • Changing the way of thinking and creating a social, mental and emotional legacy capable of differently perceiving future generations of women diagnosed with cancer;
  • Restoring self-confidence increases the patient’s desire to be healthy, remain in remission and, in the medium term, facilitates her reintegration into society and professional life.

What Feminity after cancer participants say: “It was like a hug”

“I keep thinking about how I can put into words the comfort that the Femininity After Cancer program has brought me. I finished chemotherapy and later had a bilateral mastectomy without reconstruction. I’ve had moments where I really felt like I was going to fall, but this program was like a hug, it helped me find the strength to get back up, brought me closer to who I really am, and gave me hope that it was possible. And I can be the best version of myself. And more importantly, I’m not alone. I sincerely wish that the sense of peace and confidence that I have gained through this program will reach as many people who are going through this disease as possible. It’s a long road, we have so much to survive and discover, but we are together and all we can do is enjoy the journey. Kosmina, you are harmony for us when chaos is raging!” – Magda

“Now I have finished listening to the last module on femininity. I have no words to express how much I enjoyed and found the information useful. Thanks!” – Denise

“Girls, I feel grateful for this group. Cosmina is a great generator and resource library, and it’s extremely willing to share. Her gift of generation inspires the group, and in this way we become resources and sources of inspiration for each other. You are a great!” – Honey

“There are many trainers on the market, but very few or none have gone through what we have gone through or are going through. Therefore, Cosmina is what we need. She has experienced everything she does with us, so she understands us, she has been through everything, just like us, she knows and therefore she is the best in our process.” – Doinita

“Femininity after cancer has completely revealed me. I discovered some incredible things on Kosmina, in addition to all the wonderful people who were wonderful stories and gifts to me. I realized that I really have and have all, unknown and limitless powers. My challenge along the way has been to give free rein to my ideas and creativity that I have hidden away in a dusty box. And that I have to learn to say NO if I feel like letting people out of my life. That it’s not wrong either. And what is wrong is not valuing yourself, allowing external factors to “turn off my light.” That’s why I learned to be a light first for myself.” – Elena

“When I finished the program, I realized that someone, Kosmina Grigore, managed to illuminate all my sensitive points, wounds that no one had ever bandaged for me… And transformation, healing took place. “When you heal, you heal in turn,” Kosmina so beautifully said at the conference. Simply and truly, we, all the strong women of Imunis, are the proof. I appreciate you and thank you for giving me the courage to be different, to be a winner, to show that thanks to Cosmina miracles are created, minds are opened, new opportunities for treatment and healing are opened.” – Daniela

“Femininity after cancer is Imunis for me, it’s Cosmina. Here I understood that it is possible, that if there is a way of treatment, then it must be through Imunis. It’s important to have such a community.” – Roxana

“When I received this diagnosis, I knew what was happening to me physically. However, after the first modules of the “Femininity after Cancer” program, I realized that I had consciously given up my feminine energy, the energy necessary for a good life. When I was diagnosed, I felt guilty, vulnerable, found that I couldn’t talk about it easily, and went to see a psychologist. These 3 months helped me more than 5 months of sessions with a psychologist.” – Aneta
