
Total 39 Forest fires happened in the last 24 hours in Greece, according to Fire Departmentwhile local investigators as well as levels of the Arson Enforcement Administration (DAEE) are investigating the causes.
Referring to the fire that broke out today in Agia Mavra Ilias, the fire department emphasizes that it is contained, and regarding the fire in the forested area in Agia Paraskevi Konitsa, it is reported that 21 firefighters with 3 groups of pedestrian areas and 2 E/P are working.

At the same time, a message from the fire department states that according to the Fire Risk Prediction Map issued by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crises and Civil Protection (www.civilprotection.gr), for tomorrow, Friday 19 August 2022, a high risk of fire is predicted (risk category 3) in: Attica, Boeotia, Phthiotis, Evia and Magnesia, several areas of the Peloponnese, Western Greece and Crete, as well as the Dodecanese, Samos and Ikaria.
