After the 59th Venice Biennale and the 15th Documenta in Kassel, 2022 concludes the international exhibitions of contemporary art Manifesta 14, the only European nomadic biennale presented this year in Pristina.
The Manifesta was first organized in Rotterdam in 1996 and has since been held regularly throughout Europe. Kosovo was chosen because of the geographical importance of the Western Balkans for Europe’s recent history and future, organizers say. Pristina, a rapidly changing urban center at the crossroads of Southern and Eastern Europe, allows artists to explore how contemporary culture can express such complex geopolitical identities. Duration up to 30/10.
