A 27-year-old man who hit a pedestrian in the Maramureş commune of Petrova left the scene of the accident, then returned and physically attacked the victim, IPJ Maramureş spokesperson Ionela Kozma said.

  • “Police officers from Viseu-de-Sous intervened in a traffic accident involving a 27-year-old pedestrian from Petrova commune. After the collision, the driver of the car, a 38-year-old local resident, continued on his way, leaving the scene without the consent of the police.
  • Later, about 5 minutes later, he returned to the scene and attacked the 27-year-old man before continuing his journey towards Pasul Hera. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for medical assistance,” said Ionela Kozma.
