
Ground and air forces firefighting are operating in the area of Pyrgiotiki, in the municipality of Nafplio, in Argolis, to control the fire that is burning in the agroforestry.
In particular, 57 firefighters are working at the scene with three groups of foot squads, which also involve 14 Norwegian firefighters, as well as 12 vehicles. Four firefighting aircraft and a helicopter are also continuously dropping water from the air.
According to the fire department, the front of the fire is not far from residential areas, but so far nothing threatens them.
