
Two people were killed and one was injured as a result of an explosion on a beach in the Odesa region, the Southern Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The mine exploded in the coastal waters not far from the seashore, on the beach where there were also tourists, reports Nexta.

“According to preliminary data, a group of men, ignoring the announced restrictions on walking and swimming in coastal water bodies, disregarding warning signs, went to the beach. While swimming, an unknown explosive device went off, two died on the spot, one was injured. Rescuers, gendarmes and an investigative team were working at the scene,” says the Facebook page of the Southern Operational Command.
The Ukrainian army reminds that it is forbidden to go to the beach in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
