A serious incident between an accompanying patient and nurses took place Thursday evening at her hospital. Lamias.
A 44-year-old policeman who was escorting a patient to the Pathology Clinic hit a nurse and kicked another, threatening to kill staff and burn down the hospital.
It all started with the fact that the nurses were informed about a man who, being on the balcony of the 5th floor, scolded everyone. When they tried to calm him down, he threw an envelope in their faces, which he held in his hands. He then closed the doors of the clinic, causing horror at what he might do to other patients and staff.
The nurse immediately opened the door and then was attacked a second and more brutally after he punched her in the face, removed her mask and broke her glasses. Then he threw her and started kicking her. Her colleague who tried to save her was also kicked twice in the stomach and leg.
By the time security personnel arrived, the 44-year-old man had stepped onto the balcony again, closing the balcony doors behind him. With great difficulty, his fellow police officers from DIAS of the Immediate Action Division, AT Lamia and the Lamia Security Sub-Directorate managed to pull him out and take him to the Directorate. There, he was arrested on charges of bodily harm, verbal abuse, and disorderly conduct.
The unfortunate nurses went to the emergency room for an examination, one even had to be transported by ambulance due to a severe attack she received. According to the lamiareport.gr report, both are relatively healthy physically, but the shock they have gone through is great.
At the request of relatives, a 44-year-old man will undergo a psychiatric examination, while the institution is going to sue. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Lamia Police Department.
