The organization PNL sector 1 announced on Friday that it will not support any project proposed by the mayor of the sector, Clotilde Armand, and publicly “challenges” her to “urgently” publish the full report of the Chamber of Accounts and recognize the “flagrant” deviation from the law.
The libertarians ask the mayor of sector 1:
- immediate publication of the full report of the Accounting Chamber
- a plan of measures with predictable terms to gain legitimacy for the mayor’s actions
- unlocking all PNL projects stored in the mayor’s drawer (list of projects and delay days attached)
- implementation of all PNL projects voted in the city council (a list of these projects and the days since the vote is attached).
Excerpts from a press release provided by PNL Sector 1 President Sebastien Bourduilla:
- “We call on Armand to urgently publish the full report of the Accounting Chamber, which she is hiding, and to publicly assume the flagrant deviations from the law that characterized the first two years of her mandate. We completely deny the abuse and illegality of the mayor’s actions, which, by the way, I have pointed out dozens of times times
- In addition, we once again request the competent authorities to investigate the serious facts regarding the Mayor of Sector 1, who is maliciously blocking all projects initiated by the NLP. Does not submit to the vote within the period established by law. He does not fulfill already voted. Just one example: this summer we could create floating markets across the sector, but the idea is not the mayor’s, so it must be blocked at all costs.
- The PNL Sector 1 councilor group will generally abstain from all projects initiated by the mayor until the law is upheld!
- Again and again we publicly call on Armand to stop the circus and illegality and start working for the people of Bucharest.
Sector 1 PNL local deputies sent a press release on Thursday announcing the results of an audit conducted by the Audit Chamber at Sector 1 City Hall.
In response, the mayor of Sector 1, Clotilde Armand, clarified that the representatives of the Accounting Chamber control the city hall for the second time in less than a year. She added that she had nothing to hide, but that “the time spent with the inspectors blocks a lot of the activities of the officials,” who also said that the inspectors did not find anything illegal.
