After confessing in the presence of a government-appointed lawyer, a young Pakistani man was taken into custody on charges of brutally murdering his 17-year-old partner Nicoletta in Peristeri.

A young man who was arrested at the border with North Macedonia as he unsuccessfully tried to flee abroad reportedly claimed that his heinous crime was the result of an argument he was trying to make religious.

However, during his apology, which lasted about three hours, he did not convince either the investigator or the competent prosecutor, who unanimously decided on his pre-trial detention, considering that he had all the grounds provided for by law, i.e. suspected of escaping, suspected of committing new crimes, etc.

A 22-year-old man of Pakistani origin killed an unfortunate girl in Peristeri a few days ago, leaving her, according to a heavy indictment, martyred, as the victim tried to avoid suffocation along with the perpetrator for more than five minutes. covering her nose and mouth with her hands.

During his testimony, which lasted about three hours, the 22-year-old defendant did not convince either the investigator or the competent prosecutor.

He himself, apologetically, claimed that his heinous crime was preceded by a dispute about their upcoming marriage, during which the unfortunate girl asked him to be baptized a Christian, which moved him and led – always according to him – to the crime.

The culprit, however, not only was not convinced that he allegedly found himself in a boiling state of mind, but the continuation of his actions after the heinous murder testifies both to his calm state of mind and to the deliberate nature of the crime. As soon as the unfortunate girl cooled off, he collected his personal belongings from their common home and tried to flee abroad, through Thessaloniki.

For the house in which he lived with the victim, the young man claimed that he paid the rent in half with the mother of a 17-year-old teenager, and about escaping abroad he tried to say that he had no intention of escaping, but simply moving away from his place of battle.

At the beginning of his apology, the lawyer representing the accused resigned, and a new lawyer was appointed ex officio by the investigating authorities, in whose presence he apologized to the 25th regular investigator of Athens.
