
The Communications Privacy Authority (ADAE) is investigating the surveillance of PASOK-KINAL President, Nikos Androulakis.

It should be reminded that a week ago Mr. Androulakis’s complaint about an attempt to “catch” his mobile phone fell into the hands of the Anti-Corruption Commission. At the same time, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court prosecuted EMP and ADAE employees for leaking information on the surveillance case.

“The Communications Privacy Authority (ADAE) states that the review of the complaint by PASOK-KINAL President Mr. Nikos Androulakis has already yielded initial results, is ongoing and will continue for a full and comprehensive investigation. cases, within the competence of ADAE.
It is recalled that ADAE is an exclusively competent body based on the Constitution itself (Article 19 §2) to ensure the fundamental and absolutely inviolable right to confidentiality and secrecy of communications, without which there is no rule of law and democratic life. .
Finally, he is ready to competently present concrete proposals, some of which are already reflected in his annual reports to the Greek Parliament, to improve the institutional framework and further protect the confidentiality of messages.”
