Combining style with function, Kia is launching a family crossover that will encourage more drivers to take a meaningful step towards electrified mobility. The full hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions of the Niro are powered by Kia’s highly efficient 1.6-liter Smartstream GDI petrol engine, while the all-electric Niro EV offers an all-electric range of 460 km.

The Niro uses the 3rd generation Kia platform, which was designed from the ground up to support a combination of electrified powertrains while delivering a high level of torsional rigidity. With a length of 4420 mm, a width of 1825 mm, a height of up to 1570 mm. and with a wheelbase of 2720 mm, the clean design of the new Niro offers ideal interior proportions and increased luggage space.
Plug-in Hybrid and Hybrid versions benefit from Kia’s Smartstream 1.6 GDI petrol engine, mated as standard to a 2nd generation Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission (6DCT with optimized ratios for maximum transmission efficiency and reverse gear disengagement to save 2.3 kg).

The new Niro EV combines a range of 460 kilometers, 150 kW of available power and 255 Nm of maximum torque for dynamic performance. With a top speed of 167 km/h and a 0-60 mph time of 7.8 seconds, the new Niro EV makes driving enjoyable and safe in all conditions.
The new Niro EV’s 64.8kWh Lithium-Ion Polymer battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 43 minutes using the powerful DC charger. The large boot volume is up to 1445 liters for the HEV, 1342 liters for the PHEV and 1392 liters for the EV with the rear seats folded down. A handy 20-litre front (rear) space adds extra space for those who opt for the Niro EV.
The new Kia Niro is available in the Greek market with a starting price of €33,490 for the hybrid version, €41,290 for the plug-in hybrid version and €45,790 for the pure electric version without a generous government subsidy.
