“The owner of Baykar created a Ukrainian company in Ukraine, which has already bought the land. They have already drawn up the project of the plant and plan to implement it by the end of the year, because the creation of production in Ukraine was literally the personal responsibility of the company’s owners,” said the diplomat, TASS reports.

Bodnar explained that Ukrainian components will be used in the drones that will be manufactured at the new plant: “Most of the models that will be manufactured at the plant will have Ukrainian-made components: engines, other spare parts, wheels, and many other high-tech items. that we also have that can be used for these aircraft,” he added.

On July 19, the Ukrainian government approved a draft law on the ratification of an agreement with Turkey on cooperation in the field of high technologies, aviation and the space industry, which will allow the construction of the Bayraktar production and service plant in Ukraine.

Last month, Haluk Bayraktar, head of Turkish drone maker Baykar, categorically ruled out supplying Russia with weapons, saying both Ankara and his company were supporting Ukraine in its war with Moscow.
