
An unconscious 58-year-old woman was pulled out of the car she was traveling in when she swerved off the road at 11:15 this morning and ended up on a hillside near the village of Kawvadades in the north Corfu.
Another 66-year-old woman was in the same car that veered off course at a difficult curve in the road under unspecified circumstances and was taken to a Corfu hospital with injuries, according to APE.
The police, fire brigade and ambulance immediately arrived at the scene of the accident. The two women arrived from Corfu and their relatives immediately arrived at the scene of the accident to help with the rescue effort.
The 58-year-old man was declared dead at the Corfu hospital where he was taken. The Paleokastritsa Police Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the causes of the accident.
