He is charged with negligent homicide after four people, three Romanians and a Turkish citizen, died in a crash he caused.

“We collected enough evidence, analyzed it and decided that we have enough evidence to prove the guilt of the person who will be held criminally responsible for the crime committed. It is about a Romanian bus driver, a citizen of Turkey, detained for manslaughter and failure to comply with traffic rules,” said the Bulgarian prosecutor handling the case, according to stirileprotv.ro.​

The prosecutor says that because the suspect is a citizen of a country that is not a member of the European Union, there is a risk of avoiding criminal prosecution. Therefore, Monday will ask for his arrest.

Five Romanians who were injured in an accident in Bulgaria have been hospitalized in Floreasca Hospital in Bucharest in a serious but stable condition. 3 were hospitalized in the intensive care unit, which requires measures specific to this unit, 2 were hospitalized in the postoperative wards (intermediate intensive care).

Ten Romanian citizens, passengers of a bus that was involved in a road accident in Veliko Tarnovo, entered the territory of Romania unharmed on Saturday evening, they were transported by another bus of the same transport company, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

According to a press release, the second bus driver, a Romanian national, has been questioned as a witness and will return to Romania tonight or Sunday.
