Prime Minister Nicolae Cuke expressed his condolences to the families of Romanians who died in a bus accident in Bulgaria. The Prime Minister also wished health and speedy recovery to the victims.

“I was deeply saddened by the news that several Romanian citizens were killed and others injured in a tragic road accident that happened last night in Bulgaria. I am with the families of the victims and offer them my condolences and all my sympathy.” The Prime Minister announced this on the Government’s Facebook page.

Chuke clarifies that the government intervened urgently to help the wounded Romanians and provide them with the best medical care.

“The SMURD helicopter and a medical team from the Bucharest Floreaska Clinical Emergency Hospital were already in Bulgaria to assess and plan the transport of the injured to Romania. Other SMURD helicopters are heading to Bulgaria to bring our Romanians home. State institutions are ready to offer support to their citizens, wherever they are, and provide them with the best possible assistance,” Chuke said.

Three Romanians and a foreigner died in Bulgaria after the bus they were traveling in was involved in an accident. There were 25 passengers in the bus, including 18 Romanian citizens and 7 Turkish citizens.
