No. 7 seed Kasatkina (who caused quite a stir in Russia with her statements in July) defeated the athlete from Belarus 4-6, 7-5, 6-0 after two hours and 22 minutes of play.
Daria (12 WTA) will fight the winner of the match between Paula Badosa (4 WTA / 2) and Cory Gauff (11 WTA / 6) for a place in the finals of the USA competition.

Its total prize pool is $757,900 and the main draw starts with 32 players. The champion of the title is Danielle Collins (2021), while Mihaela Buzernescu won the competition in 2018.
