
A man, his two sons and a woman were arrested on Thursday morning (08.04) in the Pieria region by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Katerina Sub-Department of Security for human trafficking. drugs.
In particular, after a methodical investigation carried out by the police, it turned out that since at least June 2022 they had formed a group with the aim of selling cannabis to various individuals in Pieriareceiving illegal financial gain.
At the moment, it has been established that they supplied marijuana in the amount of 19 people, whose data has been established, and a corresponding case has been initiated against them.
In the course of an investigation carried out in the countryside of Pieria, near the sheepfold kept by a local resident, it was discovered that he and his two sons were growing a total of 10 cannabis seedlings up to 180 centimeters high, which were uprooted and confiscated.
During a search of their home, cannabis herbal extracts weighing 21.1 grams, a small amount of cannabis, cannabis seeds, a potted cannabis plant, and 1 precision scale were found and seized. 3 vehicles used for illegal activities were also seized.
As part of the investigation of the case, another local resident was detained; during a search of his house, the following were found and seized:
• 2 potted cannabis plants,
• 76.6 grams of hemp in shreds – tops and
• equipment for growing hemp seedlings (lamps, fans, etc.).
Those arrested will be taken to District Attorney Katerini.
