
A 37-year-old man from Volos managed to extract more than 80,000 euros from five businessmen who said they had investment software that only brings profit.
In 2023, a 37-year-old man will face a three-person Volos Misdemeanor Court for persistent fraud that took place between October 7, 2019 and April 7, 2020.
The alleged perpetrator approached financially wealthy Volotians and, through his knowledge of computer programs and through a company he owned based in England, convinced them to buy and sell foreign exchange, and he got their money.
The alleged perpetrator caught five Volio businessmen after they looked for a way to invest their money and handed him a total of €74,170 between October 2019 and April 2020 (allegedly he received about €17,000 from one, €11,000 from the other) . second, 20,000 euros from the third, 12,000 euros and 13,000 euros respectively from the fourth and fifth). However, from the filing of the case file, it appears that they received a total of 82,000 euros.
The defendant, for its part, denies their deception and claims that the five businessmen signed legitimate investment papers, allowing them to claim their money by filing lawsuits and wrongfully prosecuting him.
Another complaint was filed against a 37-year-old man for embezzlement of serious crimes after he allegedly deceived Voliotis, from whom he received the amount of 170,000 euros. When the complaint was filed, the 37-year-old was already facing criminal charges for defrauding five businessmen.
In fact, these are different court cases, but with the same accused.
