Muse brings NFTs to the charts

There was once a bit of a stir with numbered first editions of vinyl. Several copies, sold out almost immediately, automatically acquire a collection value, which over the years reaches unimaginable heights in some cases. As you know, vinyls are still in circulation today, there are even such special editions, however, modern musical “hunters”-collectors are more interested in NFT. In other words, intangible collectibles that carry a unique stamp of authenticity thanks to blockchain technology.

Muse’s new album ‘Will of the People’, due out on August 26, will be what he says will be the first album to feature his chart performances (UK and Australia) and an NFT release. The latter will consist of 1,000 copies, which will be sold worldwide for £20 each via the Serenade platform. But what is someone buying this NFT purchase? Apparently, this is a digital version of the album with high quality sound music and special artwork. In addition, each copy will be digitally signed by all members of the group, and the buyer’s name will be permanently entered in the appropriate list confirming the transaction.

The always innovative Muse is also entering the NFT world.

“Fans want something simple and straightforward, but it’s this item that gives them a sense of closeness to the artist and at the same time recognition from other fans,” said Max Sand, founder of Serenade. “Proximity” through an object that is not even tangible… However, what most fascinates the discerning consumer of the 21st century is exclusivity. The feeling of owning something unique that no one else has – and NFTs serve just that purpose. Let the technology resell them, offering an unmistakable seal of authenticity to the next owner. Something tells us NFT Muse albums won’t be just £20 anytime soon.
