The notion that a diver’s watch should be a manly, bulky tool for the seafloor is long gone. Modern diving models may guarantee high performance and safety underwater, but their sleek, ergonomic lines fit any wrist, anytime, anywhere. A prime example is the Tissot Seastar collection, which continues successfully with fresh releases for 2022. The flagship models of the Tissot Seastar line are the Seastar 1000 Quartz and the Seastar 2000 Professional Powermatic 80, all high quality watches that may have been born in the Swiss mountains but are ready for sea adventures.
Seastar 1000 Quartz 36mm
The 36mm diameter is equally suitable for both men’s and women’s wrists. It has a black, blue or white glossy dial with yellow gold or steel details.
It can withstand pressures up to 30 bar, which means it can safely dive to a depth of 300 meters.
It features a unidirectional rotating bezel for dive timing, while the hour markers and indicators are filled with phosphorescent material for perfect visibility in the dark.
It is paired with a durable steel bracelet, and there are also various colored silicone straps in bright orange, white, light blue and black to change the look. As for their prices? Extremely affordable: from 415 to 445 euros.
Seastar 2000 Professional Powermatic 80
The 46mm Seastar automatic models provide high performance and ease of use both in and out of the water.
Its durable stainless steel case is either natural silver or black PVD, and is paired with a black or blue gradient dial with an embossed wave pattern that harks back to the watch’s maritime origins.
And just like a real diving watch, it features a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel, screw-down crown with safety levers, Super-LumiNova® luminous details, automatic helium safety valve and ISO 6425 (2018) professional diving watch certification.
They can withstand a pressure of 60 bar (depth 600 meters) and are equipped with an automatic Powermatic 80 anti-magnetic movement with a balance spring from Nivachron and 80 hours of battery life.
They are combined with an integrated black rubber bracelet or with a black rubber and blue fabric strap. Prices: from 1025 to 1095 euros.
