Adrian Mutu will consider resigning from CFR Cluj after being relegated from the Romanian Cup

Corvinul Hunedoara played a legendary match in front of a sold-out stadium, 4-0 against CFR Cluj in the quarter-finals of the Romanian Cup.

After Mircea Lucescu’s symbolic strike, the Transylvanians lost in numbers, and the Hunedorens delighted the audience with their game.

At the end of the game, coach Adrian Mutu said he felt humiliated and was thinking about the decision he would announce to the management of CFR Cluj on Wednesday morning.

“For Tahtzidis it was pure red, he broke his nose, we have nothing to complain about. I have nothing to say, I came here out of respect for you. A match without a story.

Today we were uncomfortable, I would not like to look for excuses, that we played with 10, that Mogos and Kamora were injured, no. That’s not what’s important.

The team had to play in the top ten as well, because we were playing against a team from the second league. He had to play without a coach on the bench. He had to play no matter what. I have nothing more to say, this is a match without a story.

I am thinking and tomorrow I will tell the club what decision I have made. I feel humiliated. It is impossible. I feel humiliated. I don’t think I could forgive the boys for this failure, especially since it was very important for the club. When I see that the colors of the club are not respected and what I say is not respected, I cannot forgive it.

I’ll think about it tonight and announce it at the club tomorrow morning.” – announced Adrian Mutureports DigiSport.

Appointed to the bench from CFR Cluj on 24 January, Mutu has collected 11 games, of which he has won five, drawn three and lost three.

In the Super League standings, the Transylvanians are in third place with 28 points, sharing with Rapid. Since the beginning of the playoffs, the team from Gruia has drawn and lost.

In the third round of the playoffs, CFR Cluj will travel to Giulesti on Saturday for a match against Rapid.
