Oleksandr Zverev in the semifinals of ATP Miami – a possible match with Carlos Alcaraz

After a great run at the ATP Miami where he knocked out Holger Run, Oleksiy Popyrin and Alex De Minaur, Fabian Martsan was stopped in the quarterfinals by fourth seed Oleksandr Zverev.

After two sets lasting one hour and 39 minutes, the German won 6-5, 7-5.

The victory was not easy as the Hungarian came close to taking the second set to a tiebreak, but Zverev’s break at the end decided the fate of the match.

If the second and third favorites Yannick Sinner and Daniil Medvedev will play in the first semi-final, Alexander Zverev will have a match between Carlos Alcaraz and Grigor Dimitrov to find out his opponent.

A possible qualification for the Spaniard in the semi-finals would lead to the first four favorites of the tournament.

The ATP Masters 1000 Miami Open tournament will take place from March 20 to 31. The game is played on a hard surface, with 96 players in the main draw and a total of $8,995,555 in prize money. The champion of the title is Daniil Medvedev.
