Sorana needed just 52 minutes to defeat Stevens 6-2, 6-1.
Kirstea now faces a match with Daria Kasaktina, who is Miami’s tenth favorite and is ranked 11th in the WTA rankings.
The match between Sorana and Daria will be the first on court 7 and will start at 17:00 (Romanian time). The match will be broadcast live on Digisport channels.
During the time, Kirstya and Kasatkin met three times, the score was 2:1 in favor of the Russian.

The WTA 1000 category tournament will be held in Miami from March 19 to 31. Played on hard court, the main draw features 128 players and a total prize pool of $8,995,555. The champion of the overall title is Petra Kvitova (she is pregnant and will not participate in this year’s edition).
