The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix was spectacular, with two famous retirements: Max Westappen and Lewis Hamilton. The Grand Prix at the Albert Park circuit brought Scuderia Ferrari an unexpected double: Carlos Sainz won, and Charles Leclerc came second.

The podium was completed by Carlos Sainz, the winner in Australia – Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris

Max Verstappen did not like Sunday: the reigning world champion’s winning streak was cut short in Australia, the Red Bull pilot was forced to retire after only four laps.

“At the beginning of the race, the right rear brake locked. It was like driving with a handbrake,” Verstappen said.

Things were not better for Lewis Hamilton: the multiple world champion had to go to the pits on the 17th lap due to engine problems.

The Ferrari drivers did their job and delighted fans everywhere: Carlos Sainz (he will be replaced by Lewis Hamilton from 2025) won in Australia, and Charles Leclerc followed him.

Lando Norris (McLaren) completed the podium, while the home favorite (Oscar Piastre) finished 4th.
