So, Page (ranked 52nd in the world) on Thursday defeated Mark Selby, a four-time world champion (2014, 2016, 2017 and 2021).
The beginning of the match was equal (1-1), but Jackson broke away (4-1) and could not catch up (5-2).
The 22-year-old Welshman reached the quarterfinals of a ranking tournament for the first time in his career. Paige will fight with the Englishman Elliot Slessor (42nd place).
