The player from the Czech Republic controlled the first set against Ana Bohdan (66 WTA), which she won after three breaks.

In the second set, the Romanian put up more resistance, leveled the game and barely conceded after an hour and 25 minutes.

In the second round, Kateryna Sinyakova will meet China’s Qinwen Zheng, who is the seventh favorite of the tournament.

Ana Bohdan will receive a check for $23,250 and 10 points in the WTA rating for her presence in the main draw of the WTA Miami.

Romania is left with three representatives in Miami: Simona Halep and Jacqueline Christian in the first round and Sorana Kirstia in the second round.

The WTA 1000 category tournament will be held in Miami from March 19 to 31. Played on hard surfaces, the main draw features 128 players and a total prize pool of $8,995,555. The champion of the overall title is Petra Kvitova (she is pregnant and will not participate in this year’s edition).
