Emma Reducanu has announced that she will not participate in the WTA tournament in Miami due to a back injury that is causing her discomfort.

Emma Reducanu has withdrawn from Miami with a lower back injury

Emma Reducanu received a wildcard from the organizers of Miami and was supposed to play in the first round with Xiu Wang.

Having reached the 288th place in the world ranking, Emma announced that she will not be able to participate in the tournament in Miami due to problems in the lower back.

Emma Raducanu has been named in Great Britain’s squad to face France at the Billie Jean King Cup in April.

Last May, Emmy underwent surgery on both wrists and ankles.

The WTA 1000 category tournament will be held in Miami from March 19 to 31. Played on hard surfaces, the main draw features 128 players and a total prize pool of $8,995,555. The champion of the overall title is Petra Kvitova (she is pregnant and will not participate in this year’s edition).
