Presence in the Romanian national team is one of the conditions that the two-time Grand Slam champion must fulfill in order to qualify for the Paris Olympics.

According to the official website of the Billie Jean King Cup competition, Tecău also invited Ana Bohdan, Anka Todoni and Jacqueline Christian.

The Ukrainian national team will include Elina Svitolina, Lesya Tsurenko, Lyudmila Kichenok and Nadia Kichenok.

Horia Tekeu visited Simona Halep at the “WTA 1000” tournament in Miami, where she will return to the tennis court (after TAS eased her suspension in a doping case).
