Emma Reducanu stopped in the third round of the “WTA 1000” competition in Indian Wells. The British athlete was defeated in two sets by Aryna Sabalenko with a score of 6-4, 7-5.

Entering the main draw thanks to a wild card, Emma Reducanu advanced to the third round after losing to Dayana Yastremska.

However, there followed a match with the second favorite of the competition, Aryna Sabalenko, who decided the fate of the match after one hour and 37 minutes.

The Australian Open winner absolutely dominated the first set, but in the second act Redukan was close to a tie-break.

After missing three match points, the former world leader advanced to the next round.

In the 1/8 finals, Aryna Sabalenko will meet the winner of Ukrainian Elina Svitolina (17 WTA) and American Emma Navarro (23 WTA).

The BNP Paribas Open is a WTA 1000 tournament that takes place from March 6 to 17. The game is played on a hard surface and the total prize pool is $8,995,555. Titled champion – Olena Rybakina.
