Emma Radukanu advanced to the second round of the tournament in Indian Wells on Thursday with a straight set 6-2, 6-3 win over Rebekah Masarova.

Emma Reducanu beat Rebecca Masarov in the first round in Indian Wells

Emma Reducanu started the tournament in Indian Wells right.

The athlete, who is ranked 250th in the WTA hierarchy, needed one hour and 46 minutes to overtake Rebekah Masarova (96th WTA) after a match that ended in two sets.

In the second round, Emma will meet Diana Yastremska (31 WTA).

The BNP Paribas Open is a WTA 1000 tournament that takes place from March 6 to 17. The game is played on a hard surface and the total prize pool is $8,995,555. Titled champion – Olena Rybakina.
