Sepsi – FC Voluntari 4-0, in the Super League – Ilfoveni, without a win since December

In the penultimate match of the 29th stage of the Super League, Sepsi had no problems in the confrontation with Nicolae Dike’s team.

Bernd Stork’s men opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a controversial penalty converted by Marius Stefanescu after Karnat’s interference in Matei’s goal.

Although the hosts controlled the first half, the visitors were able to equalize after Andrii Dumiter’s double chance in overtime.

The second half brought the exit of Sepsi, who decided the fate of the match in just 15 minutes.

In the 53rd minute, the score became 2:0 after a great shot by Kevin Varga from outside the penalty area.

Five minutes later, Kosmin Matei also got his name on the scoreboard with a goal from the penalty area.

Marius Stefanescu scored a brace in the 61st minute, cutting in from the right and curling a corner kick past Jesus Fernandez.

The result moves Sepsi to seventh place, just one point off the play-offs, while FC Voluntari tremble for a play-off spot they could lose before the play-offs begin.
