“If Christian Horner stays at Red Bull, the team will explode,” says Jos Verstappen
Max Verstappen’s father believes the Red Bull team will “implode” if Horner remains boss, saying he is “playing the victim even though he is the one who caused the problems”.
The Daily Mail claims that the Dutchman and Briton had a row after qualifying for the race in Bahrain.
“While he is in office, there will be tension in the team. The team is in danger of falling apart. It cannot go on like this. It will explode.
It wouldn’t make sense (if he was the one who got Horner into this situation – no). Why would I do that when Max is doing so well here?” – Away Verstappen for the Daily Mail.
Red Bull announced on Wednesday that an internal investigation had led to British Christian Horner being cleared of any wrongdoing.
While several teams have condemned the lack of transparency in the internal investigation, Horner said Thursday that his team’s unity has “never been stronger.”
The case was reignited soon after after the emergence of an anonymous email containing WhatsApp messages allegedly written by Horner to journalists who follow Formula 1, motorsport officials and rival teams, News.ro reports.
