The University of Cluj took a step towards the play-offs after a narrow 1-0 win at home against Farul Konstanz in the XXVIII round of the Superliga.

University of Cluj – Farul Constanta 1-0, Super League

After two defeats and three draws, “Cluj University” was finally able to win even against the champion “Farul”.

Despite the fact that the Constantinians dominated the first half, Ioan Ovidiu Sabau’s men opened the scoring after a serious mistake in the opponent’s defense.

In the 34th minute, Jonuts Lari failed to handle the ball, Daniel Popa intercepted it and passed it to Dan Nistor, who completed a simple formality.

In the second half, the score did not change, and in overtime, Farul was outnumbered, Christi Ganea received a second yellow card.

Cluj University scores 38 points and climbs to sixth place, three points behind Farul Constanti.
