Swimmer Anastasia Horbenko was booed after the silver medal at the World Swimming Championships in Doha

Horbenko took silver in the women’s 400-meter individual medley, and the joy of winning a medal was spoiled at the award ceremony.

The athlete representing Israel was booed during an interview after winning the silver medal.

The boos didn’t stop after the medals were handed out and continued when Anastasia left the pool.

The race was won by the British Freya Constance Colbert.

“I’m here to represent my country… And I’m doing it with the Israeli flag, and I’m proud of it. And whoever doesn’t like it, it’s not my problem,” said the 20-year-old swimmer.

The athlete said that during the last week she was booed several times and it affected her emotionally.
