In the final, the Romanian defeated the athlete from the Republic of Moldova, Marian Dragutsan, with a score of 11-0.
With the support of the entire gym, Ana soared to her third title after winning in 2022 and 2023.
The extremely happy athlete registered with CSA Steaua said that she felt the warmth of the public and that this continental tournament is only a stage of preparation for the next Olympic qualifications.
“My goal is to reach Paris. This is what I fight for and work for every day,” the athlete said, according to News.ro.
This is the third medal for Romania at the European Championships in the capital, after the bronze won by Mihai Denis in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight category up to 55 kg, as well as the bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight category up to 60 kg by Rezvan Arnaut.
