Iga Sviatek won another convincing victory in the quarterfinals of the “WTA 1000” tournament in Doha, beating Victoria Azarenka with a score of 6-4, 6-0.

Victoria Azarenka, Iga Svyatek was eliminated at the WTA in Doha

The first favorite of the Qatar tournament, Sviatek, started the first set hesitantly, and Azarenka led until the end, when she managed to win three games in a row.

But the second set was completely up to the Polish woman, who defeated her opponent from Belarus with a categorical score of 6:0.

The match ended after only one hour and 16 minutes.

In the semifinals, Iga Svyatek will meet the winner of Naomi Osaka (747 WTA) and Karolina Pliskova (59 WTA).

Qatar TotalEnergies Open 2024 will be held from February 11 to 17. The tournament is held in Doha on hard, is part of the “WTA 1000” category and offers a total prize pool of $3,211,715. The champion of the title is Iga Sviatek (2022, 2023), and Simona Halep won in 2014.
