The students, coached by Adi Vasile, keep their chances of a direct entry into the Champions League quarter-finals after a home victory over Bittheim.

After leading by 7 goals at halftime, the Tigers slowed down in the second half, ending the game with just three goals.

The main scorers of the champion of Romania were Christina Nyagu with six successes and Arntzen with five.

The win left CSM third in Group A and needs a last-gasp win over Odense to clinch second place, which leads directly to the Champions League quarter-finals.
