Vlad Stanku missed qualifying in the final of the 400 m freestyle

The student of coach Julia Beheru finished in the fourth series in 9th place with a result of 3:52.97.

In general, our athlete showed the 31st time (56 swimmers). The final will be held on Sunday at 18:00.

Vlad will also swim in the 800 and 1500 m freestyle at the World Championships in Doha.

Romania has five representatives in the swimming competition at the World Swimming Championships in Doha: Vlad Stancu, Denis Popescu, Andrej Angel, Robert Badea and Patrick Dinu.

In October 2023, coach Adrian Redulescu announced this David Popovich will not participate in the World Championship in Doha. The main goal of a swimmer is to get to the Olympic Games in Paris.
