Oleksandr Bublyk and Borna Chorych are finalists of the ATP tournament in Montpellier. The two were beaten by Félix Auger-Aliassime and Holger Roon respectively in the semi-finals.

Holger Roon, the main absentee in the Montpellier final – Oleksandr Bublyk and Borna Chorych will meet in the final

Oleksandr Bublyk qualified for the final act of the ATP Tour in Montpellier on Saturday.

The athlete, who is ranked 27th in the ATP hierarchy, eliminated the third favorite Felix Auger-Aliassime (30 ATP) at the end of the match, which lasted two hours and 39 minutes.

In the other match of the day, between Holger Rune (7 ATP) and Borna Coric (37 ATP), the Croatian won after 59 minutes of play.

Corych won the first set 6-3, and in the second act 4-1, Roon withdrew due to medical reasons.

So, Bublyk and Chorych will play the final at the tournament in France, which is scheduled for Sunday at 16:00.

Before that, they met only once, in 2023 at the ATP Halle, when Bublyk won in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.

The Open Sud de France takes place in Montpellier from January 29 to February 4. The game is played on a hard surface and the total prize pool is 579,320 euros. Yannick Sinner is the titular champion.
