The Paris Masters has been held in Bercy since 1986, but the French Tennis Federation (FFT) has announced that the main tennis tournament will move to Nanterre for at least a decade.

The changes will be implemented from the 2025 edition and the ATP Masters 1000 will be held at the 23,000-seat La Defense Arena (currently only 16,800 can take part in the competition at the Accor Arena, located in Bersa).

“We needed to ensure competition in our category and the ATP standards were evolving, the requirements were evolving, we needed to make a strategic decision, which we did,” he explained. Gilles Moretton, President of FFT.

Inaugurated in October 2017, La Defense Arena can host rugby matches (30,681 seats – used by the Racing 92 team), concerts (40,000 seats) and indoor sports events. During the 2024 Olympics, swimming competitions will be held here.
