The pair of Rohan Bopanna / Matthew Ebden managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Australian Open on Wednesday and the result will help the pair climb to the top spot from next week.
The Indian will become the oldest player in the history of tennis, who climbed the first racket of the world.
They beat Maximo Gonzalez / Andres Molteni (favorites 6), score 6-4, 7-6(5).
The match lasted one hour and 42 minutes.
